About Me
I’m a journalism leader with more than 20 years of experience focused on shaping impactful visual storytelling across platforms.
Currently at the Associated Press, I lead global video strategy for Climate, Health, Science and Religion coverage, managing video journalists and social video producers while helping drive editorial direction for some of the newsroom’s most complex and high-profile stories. My work spans breaking news, enterprise reporting, digital video innovation and large-scale live coverage. This includes the choosing of the new Pope, the 2024 Summer Olympics, 2026 Winter Olympics and the FIFA World Cup. I’ve also helped lead the development and launch of new editorial initiatives, including Climate Choices, a video series designed to make complex climate issues more accessible and connect global challenges to the choices people make in their everyday lives.
My background began in reporting, producing, shooting and editing, which gave me a strong foundation in translating complex subjects into clear, human-centered stories. As an Anchor/Reporter at NY1 News, I learned the importance of strong source building, community connection and thoughtful storytelling to break news and create meaningful impact.
I’m proud to have participated in both the Poynter Women in Leadership program and the Asian American Journalists Association Executive Leadership Program. I’m passionate about mentoring journalists, fostering innovation in storytelling, and helping teams identify the strongest format for each story. At the core of my work is a commitment to journalism that is accurate, visually compelling and deeply connected to the people at the center of the story.
